Day care centres, kindergartens and primary schools in the Whitsundays are invited to participate in our 2025 Sustainable Sculpture Competition! Last year's competition was a huge success, and we're excited to hold the competition again this year!

Creating sculptures with recyclable materials is a fun and creative way for kids to learn about sustainability and how to reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose their waste. Reducing and recycling waste not only keeps valuable materials out of landfill, it also benefits the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions!

From newspapers to plastic bottles, there are lots of materials you can use to create sustainable sculptures. It's time to think of some creative ways to re-purpose your waste, turn trash into treasure and make some eco-friendly artistic creations!

This year’s theme will be based on your favourite nursery rhyme or your favourite local landmark.
