To further enhance the foreshore revitalisation, proposed road and parking upgrades to the Whitsunday Sailing Club car park took place in September - October 2017.

The works include the widening of Coconut Grove and Ocean Road; establishing additional car park spaces; and the establishment of a bus turn-around area at the Sailing Club end.
