Thank you for your interest. Consultation has concluded.
Whitsunday Regional Council has upgraded the foreshore parkland at Cannonvale Beach, after consulting with the community on the concept plans in July 2017.
Councillor Ron Petterson and Council staff manned a public display on Friday 14 July along the foreshore, to talk through any ideas or concerns with residents. View the Consultation Report here.
The plans for the foreshore include an upgrade of the playground facilities, improved seating and extra BBQ facilities, and the installation of exercise equipment along the footpath.
The plan also included improved footpaths and connections, and more car parking near Cannonvale Beach.
Public consultation closed on Sunday 23 July 2017, and the design consultants finalised the concept plans shortly afterwards. Construction was completed by mid 2019 on all planned upgrades.
