Consultation has concluded

Council has commenced work on a review of the Whitsunday Regional Council Planning Scheme in accordance with Section 25 of the Planning Act. This review will look at how the Planning Scheme is performing and aims to highlight what is working well and what areas could be improved. It seeks to evaluate whether the plan is still fit for purpose given changes within the Region since commencement of the Scheme in 2017.

As part of the review, we need your valuable feedback via the online survey below. This will help us to determine whether, and to what extent the current planning scheme is meeting the needs of our communities, business and industry. This will help us to determine whether and to what extent, the planning scheme needs to be amended.

We expect this survey will take between 5-10 minutes. Alternatively, please feel free to give Artiqua a call on 4945 0284 or email Artiqua.harrison@whitsundayrc.qld.gov.au with comments in relation to the useability and functionality of the Planning Scheme.

If it is determined following the Review that our Planning Scheme will be amended or a new Planning Scheme prepared, there will be extensive consultation with you and communities throughout our region using various approaches, including but not limited to, workshops and community forums.
