The projects shown in the concept plan are initial concepts, which will be formalised by detailed investigations. Council is committed to delivering well considered projects, which will optimise available resources to achieve the best outcome for Collinsville.
Council encourages the community to make a submission on the Choose Collinsville concept plan by answering our short survey which will help guide decision making on the specific components of the project. You can also contact us:

So what happens next?
We have secured $1M in Building Better Regions funding from the Commonwealth Government to upgrade Stanley Street in Collinsville.
Works will commence in July 2022 and includes new signage, furniture, pavement markings, wayfinding signage and shade trees/landscaping. The furnishing style and townscape improvements are consistent with recent town beautification and main street projects undertaken in Airlie Beach, Bowen and Proserpine.
Additional components of the Choose Collinsville project will require further funding and be completed in a future stage of the project. Future works will include town entry statements, additional enhancements to Sonoma Street, Conway Street and Main Street as well as creating a green oasis around the town through the landscaping and planting of avenue and shade trees.
