Proserpine to Airlie Beach Growth Study and Structure Plan

We asked for feedback on the Proserpine to Airlie Beach Growth Study and Structure Plan. The strategic documents set out a long-term vision to accommodate growth in the southern half of the Region over the next 50+ years.

Feedback identified an error in aged care analysis, clarification of land use deficits, need for a high school, objection to proposed Parker Road to Shute Harbour Road corridor and Whitsunday Green Masterplan alignment. Minor amendments and clarifications were made to the Growth Study and Structure Plan in response to submissions.

Consultation results and proposed changes following consultation were considered by Council at the 23/11/2022 Council Meeting. A detailed response to submissions has been provided within the Submission Analysis Report to demonstrate how the feedback was taken into consideration when finalising the Growth Study and Structure Plan.
