The Whitsunday Climate Change Innovation Hub is partnering with James Cook University to deliver a research project focused on identifying key measures required to better prepare the Whitsunday community and businesses in the lead up to a severe weather event, and we need your help!

If you took actions which you believe reduces the impact of Cyclone Debbie on your home or business, or will prepare for a severe weather event different next time, we would like you to share your learnings.

Information will be collected via a phone survey and will be used to improve the advice that is provided to our community prior to future events.

Collected data will be anonymously provided to the insurance sector to help guide product development and look at reducing the risk rating applied to the region, hopefully leading to lower premiums!
