Australia Day - Our Whitsunday Way - Stallholders & Entertainers
The Event
We are seeking expressions of interest for the Whitsunday's annual Australia Day Awards event to be held on Friday 26 January 2024 on the Bowen Foreshore.
This evening event will start at 5.00 pm with a cultural welcome followed by a citizenship ceremony and Australia Day awards. The celebrations will continue with a large community event including music, food hub, kids entertainment and a fireworks display!
The key theme of the event is to reflect, respect, celebrate and welcome all cultures that make up the Whitsundays and our Nation to participate in the day.
What we're looking for
We're looking for expressions of interest from a variety of vendors, food vans, stall holders, and community organisations to operate a BBQ, pop up food vendors, musicians, entertainers, games, rides or workshops.
If you are interested in promoting your organisation or business and supporting family fun in the community, please express your interest by completing the short form below by Friday 15th December 2023. Successful applicants will be notified early January 2024.

General Information:
- This form is an Expression of Interest ONLY, there is no guarantee your submission will be accepted.
- Sites will be FREE however they may be limited.
- You are required to provide your own power and public liability insurance of up to $20M
- Food vendors will be required to provide proof of current food licence.
- No alcohol is permitted to be sold or consumed.
- In the event of bad weather, the event will be cancelled.
