We asked for feedback on the management of Cannonvale Lake, on Parker Road. Feedback will inform the development of a Management Plan that will define accepted recreational uses around the lake and methods to control water quality into the future.
A range of ideas, concerns and suggestions were put forward during the consultation period. The feedback and draft Cannonvale Lake Management Plan will be presented to the Council at an upcoming meeting. The feedback suggests the Lake is primarily valued for its natural habitat and visual amenity, albeit some low impact recreational activities were considered suitable. The majority acknowledged that weed and sediment management was necessary but were less supportive of the use of herbicides.
