Cannonvale Library Extended Hours Trial - Have your say

We will be undertaking a second extended hours trial at the Cannonvale Library from Thursday 21 March - 29 June 2024. A second trial is underway for a longer period of time to test use and options for adult programming during the extended hours times, which was recognised as a priority from community feedback. The extended hours will only apply on the following days:

• Thursdays: 8:15 am to 6:45 pm (previously 4:45pm)
• Saturdays: 8:45 am to 12:45 pm (previously 11:45am)

We received good feedback following our Cannonvale Library extended opening hours trial held from Thursday 2 November 2023 to Saturday 27 January 2024. See our Consultation summary and Consultation report to view feedback received during the previous trial. Highlights included:

• Majority of respondents found the extended hours convenient, with Saturdays considered the most beneficial.
• Some users identified potential for longer hours on weekends and hosting weekend courses/workshops.
• Benefits of extended hours were realised by persons who work throughout the day during the week or play Saturday morning sport.

We are trialling community use of extended hours to understand the cost / benefit for ratepayers. In order to measure the benefit to the community of extended hours, we are interested to hear your feedback via the short survey below.
