Register your Mobile Black Spot
Consultation has concluded
Whitsunday Regional Council is looking for registrations from the community to identify local 'Black Spot' areas where mobile phone reception is not available in the Whitsunday region.
Any locations put forward will be included in Council's submission to the next round of the Australian Government's Mobile Black Spot Program. This program invests in telecommunications infrastructure to improve mobile coverage across the country.
Council will be nominating the most commonly identified 'Black Spots' and we encourage you to provide your feedback. We will be sending the registrations to the Department of Communications & Arts by 10 October 2018.
