We encourage you to view our Online Mapping to understand your properties Bushfire risk (select Planning Overlays -> Bushfire Hazard) and view our important links (right) to make a survival plan and learn about the importance of planned burns. Note, to be eligible for a Free Property Bushfire Plan, premises must be affected by over 1ha of High or Very high bushfire hazard.

Check out our draft plans and have your say via the survey below, email info@whitsundayrc.qld.gov.au or make a written submission to our Customer Service Centres prior to 27 October 2023. We are holding information stalls at each community in the coming weeks:
Whitsunday Paradise – Sunday the 24 of September – 3-5pm – Whitsunday Paradise Foreshore Reserve (Marine Pde).
Binbee – Sunday the 8 of October – 3-5pm at Normanby Road – waste skip reserve.
Crystalbrook – Sunday the 15 of October – 3-5pm – Camp Kanga
