What is the Regional Video?

The Regional Video will be used by Council to promote the Whitsunday region as the perfect place to live and work and invest. The video will feature the faces of the local community, and will show everyone what our Whitsunday, our utopia, looks like.

    Why should I be involved?

Council would like the community to star in the upcoming regional video, to demonstrate our strength of community spirit and character, and our love for our home. We want local faces in local places, such as spending the day with family on the foreshore, shopping at the local markets, or talking a walk along the beach or through the scrub. There are so many ways for us to share our everyday in our Whitsundays.

Where will the video be shot?

The video will be shot across the wider Whitsunday region, from Gumlu and Bowen in the north to Proserpine in the south, west to Collinsville and east to Airlie Beach and Cape Gloucester.

    When will the shoot happen?

The shoot will take place over a fortnight, from Monday 5 June. If you register to be involved and are successful, the video production company Tropical Exposure will contact you to arrange a time to shoot your scenes.

Where will the video be seen?

Council will publish the video on Council owned websites, social media accounts and other online platforms. The video may be displayed at Customer Service Centres and Libraries, and may be featured at conferences or events. Copies of the video may be used to promote the region outside of the Whitsundays to attract visitors, new residents and investors to the region.
